The answer
All results
The radiative fraction and the view factor to the room are reported together on purpose. The first is how much radiation is worth here; the second is why. Pack the fins and watch both fall — the fins added to help convection have hidden the metal from the room.
Is the result credible?
Numerical checks and model limits
Computation details
Where the fins stop helping
The same sink at every fin count, everything else held. Resistance falls while added surface wins, flattens, and climbs once the channels are too narrow for the air and the fins have started shading each other from the room.
Why it happens
Kept runs
Understand the model
Everything the exercise rests on, in the order it matters. Nothing here has been shortened — it has been moved out of the way of the experiment.
